Patrick Dempsey on vintage TAG Heuer watches

American Hollywood actor and race car driver Patrick “McDreamy” Dempsey (born in 1966), better known for playing neurosurgeon Dr Derek “McDreamy” Shepherd in the TV series “Grey’s Anatomy”, who bought his TAG Heuer Monaco wears it with pride as it is like a badge of honour.

As TAG Heuer’s Brand Ambassador, he was in Singapore for the brand’s “Heuer Globetrotter Exhibition” held at its Wisma Atria Boutique on 13 September 2017.

Introduced to the guests by Amelia Sillard, vice president, TAG Heuer Southeast Asia, Dempsey spoke about vintage watches, their rising values, his very own TAG Heuer Monaco and why the brand’s racing watches are special with Singaporean DJ Rosalyn Lee.

Among the vintage watches on display for the exhibition and seen in our video:
i. Carrera 1158 automatic chronograph (circa 1970);
ii. Autavia self-winding chronograph (circa 1970);
iii. Camaro with the Valjoux 7730 (circa 1970);
iv. “Calculator” manual-winding chronograph (circa 1972); and the
v. Montreal with Calibre 12.

The event was part of the festivities organised by TAG Heuer for the Formula One Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix Night Race held between 15 and 17 September 2017.
